Job Details
Hours:
* 24‑32 hours available per week. Mixture of day and night shifts, or combined.
* Shift patterns: 9.45am-6pm or 5.45pm-10am following morning (including a sleep‑in period between 12am‑8am). Possibility of a combined shift over a 24‑hour period. Monthly rosters are supplied.
* Rate: £14.00 per hour, rising to £15.00 per hour after successful completion of a 6‑month probationary period. £80 set rate per sleepover (for sleep‑in hours of 12am‑8am). Time and a half for bank holidays.
* Area: Hamsterley Mill near Rowlands Gill, Gateshead.
* Driving licence essential.
Job Role
The client requires support to live her life as independently as possible. She needs 24‑hour care, 7 days a week.
* Support with personal care, upkeep of home, cooking, medication administration, shopping, appointments, exercise, socialisation and helping to take care of her dogs. Liking dogs is essential.
* Accompanying the client on trips/holidays is a requirement of the job when necessary.
* In‑house training is provided.
* Client uses a wheelchair when out but has walking ability in the house.
* Client has her own car that the carer will use to transport her, so a clean driving licence is essential.
* Initial phone interview held prior to offer of an interview in person.
