Senior Youth Worker (Sexual Health)
JNC Professional Range 22 – 25 - £38,757 - £41,755
Permanent, Working 36.5 hours per week.
You will be based at the Lighthouse and have a city wide brief.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of sexual health and positive relationships with young people in youth centres, schools and in localities across Birmingham.
* Deliver sexual health provision within the Youth Service and work co-operatively with a team of youth workers.
* Develop and maintain strong partnerships with relevant organisations to strengthen outcomes for young people.
* Ensure the implementation of systems across Birmingham Youth Service and the delivery of high-quality youth work to young people.
* Collaborate with other Senior Youth Workers and stakeholders to promote creative partnerships and improve outcomes for young people.
* Contribute to planning and performance management across the delivery team and inspire the best provision for young people.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Educated to degree level in Youth Work with a JNC qualification.
* Significant experience in managing and leading staff in youth work delivery.
* Strong understanding of relevant policies, practices, and national frameworks.
* Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage conflicting demands and work under pressure.
