The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a People & Organisations Associate to join our leadership team based out of our Manchester office! We are looking for an individual to provide direction and apply in-depth knowledge and specialist skills in leading and managing the delivery of a range of client projects across any of the following technical areas (team effectiveness & collaboration, leadership & capability, culture & organisational change, operating model & organisation development).


Responsibilities

Within this role, you will lead a discipline, team/group/function/region within the People and Change technical area, providing tangible leadership for project teams, setting client‑goals, progress and direction. Managing team performance and growth, you will ensure performance objectives are set and expectations are clear, and provide support and development opportunities through assignment of work and stretching tasks, ensuring a culture of feedback and growth across the team. You will act as a role model for junior/senior consultants, creating a climate of trust, openness and a culture of recognition.

This Associate will contribute to the growth of the People and Change community by building technical and specialist skills through development programmes and recruitment support. As part of our team, you will drive growth by actively seeking new business opportunities and expanding client portfolios. You will oversee project delivery to ensure commercial success while maintaining compliance with agreed metrics. Building and nurturing senior client relationships will be key, aligning on goals and developing tailored communication plans. Additionally, you will lead organisational diagnostics workshops grounded in evidence‑based practices, applying best practice tools to deliver expertise in areas such as team effectiveness, leadership, culture and organisational development. Your role will also involve providing valuable insights through comprehensive reviews of clients’ organisational behaviour and cultural landscapes.


Qualifications

The successful candidate will typically hold a degree and/or extensive experience in people and change consulting. You will be a Chartered Member with a relevant institute such as British Psychology Society (BPS) or Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD). Candidates should typically have experience in a consulting or in‐house environment, with expertise in at least two of the following areas: team effectiveness and collaboration, leadership and capability, culture and organisational change, operating model and organisation development.


Skills & Attributes

* Strong commercial acumen.
* Project management and delivery skills that include financial and risk management.
* Ability to develop business proposals by understanding client requirements and leveraging expertise across a multi‑disciplinary firm.
* A methodical yet creative approach to decision‑making, even in uncertain situations, as well as a collaborative working style that encourages innovation and teamwork.
* Experience in organisational readiness (research methodologies, job analysis, selection and assessment, training needs analysis, training design and delivery, project management) would be ideal.
* Experience in one or more of the following markets: Manufacturing, Rail, Highways, Energy, Aviation and/or Water would be desirable although not essential.
