Are you a seasoned Commercial Property Lawyer (10+ PQE) with significant landlord and tenant experience looking for a strategic in-house role where you can make a real impact? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and supportive in-house legal team, advising on a broad range of real estate matters, with a focus on tenant issues, across a large commercial property portfolio.
The Role:
You will work closely with the Group Legal Estates Director, providing expert advice on all aspects of commercial property law, including:
* Lease acquisitions, renewals, variations, and disposals
* Managing a diverse property portfolio, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness
* Acting on applications for consent, assignments, underletting, and alterations
* Advising on wayleave agreements, exclusivity arrangements, and property-related contracts
* Supporting business growth by securing new sites on the most advantageous terms
* Minimising costs and risks associated with surplus properties and dilapidations
Why Join?
* Work on complex and high-value real estate matters with direct input at Board level
* A friendly, professional, and collaborative in-house team
* A varied and hands-on role with real autonomy
* A balanced working environment with a long-term, strategic focus
This role is ideal for an experienced commercial property solicitor, with significant Landlord and Tenant experience, who is able to deal with a high number of files and thrives in a dynamic team environment. The role involves a broad range of matters and they are happy to consider someone directly from private practice. There are no targets or billable hours. The office is based north-east of London, but there is only a requirement to be there once every week or fortnight after the initial settling-in period.
