As an HLTA at Tickenham Church of England Primary School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. As an HLTA, you will be responsible for:

• Covering PPA sessions across the whole school and providing feedback to pupils and teachers.

• Under the direction of the class teacher, planning and delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge pupils.

• Creating a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment where pupils feel supported and encouraged to develop both academically and personally.

What You’ll Bring to Futura

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate HLTA who:

• Has a good general education (5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above).

• Holds HLTA status or Qualified Teacher Status.

• Has a minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting children in a classroom setting.

• Understands the principles of child development and the barriers to learning.

• Can use a range of strategies to support pupils with additional needs.

• Is an effective communicator with both pupils and adults.

• Has strong ICT skills and the ability to support learning through technology.

• Demonstrates initiative, collaboration, and a commitment to professional development.

• Demonstrates a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all members of our school community.

• Aligns with our trust-wide values by bringing a positive, collaborative approach to their work and a willingness to continuously develop professionally.

Key Information:

Application Deadline: midnight 25th September 2025

Interviews are likely to be held on Tuesday 30th September 2025

Contract Type: Permanent, Part time, 12 hours a week (Wednesday, Thursday) with possibility of additional hours as and when required.

Your contract will include attendance of 2 INSET days (usually on the first days of Term 1)
