Pink Tile Education is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) Teacher – either qualified or unqualified – to join a supportive secondary school in Hastings. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced teachers, early career teachers, or those without formal teaching qualifications who have a passion for languages and are eager to inspire students.
The role:
The successful candidate will take on classroom teaching responsibilities within the MFL department, delivering engaging lessons and supporting students' progress. Whether fully qualified or starting out, you will receive guidance from senior teachers and ongoing support from Pink Tile Education.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering MFL lessons across KS3 and KS4 (ages 11–16)
* Teaching one or more languages (e.g., French, Spanish, German) depending on school needs
* Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
* Supporting pupils with different learning needs and abilities
* Encouraging engagement, participation, and progress in language learning
* Marking and assessing students' work in line with school policies
* Collaborating with the MFL department to follow schemes of work
* Maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment in line with safeguarding standards
Requirements:
* A genuine passion for languages and education
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* The ability to motivate and inspire secondary-age students
* A DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
* Up-to-date safeguarding training, or willingness to complete training provided by Pink Tile Education
