Bushfield Road Infant School provides a positive, happy and safe learning environment where all children feel valued and secure. We are committed to providing a rich and exciting curriculum, which encourages all children to meet challenges with enthusiasm and inspires them to succeed. At the heart of our school is a strong commitment to raising children’s self-esteem and self-confidence, which enables them to become confident lifelong learners.

The school is going through a period of change with the appointment of a new Headteacher and we are also seeking to appoint an inspiring and dedicated Deputy Headteacher to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the leadership of the school to rapidly drive the school forward. There will be a wte teaching commitment as part of the role.

We are looking for a leader who:

1. Is passionate about early years and KS1 education
2. Is dynamic, caring and passionate about making a difference to the educational and wider lives of our pupils and community;
3. Is prepared for a challenge and has the commitment and energy to help drive rapid and innovative school improvement;
4. Is passionate and will shape our school provision to meet the needs of all children and keep our learners happy, healthy and safe;
5. Is inclusive and committed to embedding achievement for all pupils, including those who have Special Education Needs, and to ensure their needs are met;
6. Has the expertise to support, engage, empower, motivate, challenge and develop all staff to deliver outstanding teaching and learning and for children to achieve the best possible outcomes;
7. Has high expectations of all pupils in their attainment, behaviour and attendance and the skills needed to translate these expectations into pupils achieving their full potential;
8. Will listen to and communicate clearly with all stakeholders, including staff, pupils, parents and the governing body.
9. Demonstrates strategic thinking and a commitment to school improvement
10. Is resilient, reflective, and ready to make a difference
