Pay:£6.40 per hour
Daily Hours:Monday to Friday shifts between 9am and 5pm- PART TIME
Qualification:Level 2 Early Years Practitioner OR Level 3 Early Years Educator
Duration:16-18 months
Level 2 Units Covered:
· Exploring roles and opportunities
· Supporting SEN or disabilities
· Supporting health and safety
· Child development up to 7 years
· Working with parents and professionals
· Supporting activities & educational programmes
Level 3 Units Covered:
· Speech and language
· Equality and diversity
· Partnership working
· Planning & implementing activities for children
· Learning development, observations & theories
· Health, safety, and welfare
· Transitions
How the Apprenticeship works:
As an Apprentice, you’re employed just like anyone else, but spend some of your week studying towards a qualification. Basically, you earn while you learn!
You have monthly Teams Meetings (2-3 hrs.) with your Tutor, complete assignments/worksheets and study independently – all at work. You spend a minimum of 6 hours in Training, Learning & Development Activities that all develop your Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours, again all at work, and in work time, so NO homework!!
At the end of your programme, you have a final assessment (EPA) made up of Multiple Choice Qs, Presentations of your work and Q&A’s. You will receive lots of 1-2-1 support (including Mocks to prepare you for this!)
IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR AN APPRENTICESHIP, YOU MUST:
· Have Grade 4/C Or Above In GCSE English And Maths (Or Equivalent)
· Have lived in the UK for 3 years+
· BE AVAILABLE TO START NOW! Apprenticeships start all year round

Our aim is to provide individual, high-quality childcare in a fun, caring and comfortable environment.
You’ll be responsible for providing the best physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children, and work as part of a team to provide an environment in which all children can play, develop and learn. You’ll build and maintain a strong partnership working with parents to enable children’s needs to be met.
Daily Duties:
· Deliver the EYFS ensuring that individual needs and interests of children are met, including disabilities, family cultures and medical histories
· Keep records of key children’s developments and learning journeys and share with parents & carers
· Develop strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to support learning needs
· Advise management of concerns, e.g., regarding children, parents, safety, maintaining confidentiality
· Be involved in out-of-working hours activities, e.g., training, staff meetings, summer fayres etc.
· Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the provision’s philosophy is fulfilled.
· Read, understand, and adhere to all policies and procedures
· Support nursery assistants, students, and volunteers.
· Ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
· Lead on additional responsibilities such as SENCO, training coordinator, safeguarding etc.
Skills:
Apprenticeships are very demanding as you are working towards a qualification whilst working full time! You will need to be committed and motivated as there is lots of self-guided work involved.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:
· GCSE or equivalent English and Maths grade 4/C or above
· Some childcare experience e.g., babysitting or taking care of younger family members

After this phone call, you will be requested to complete a supporting statement that will be added to your CV before being sent to the employer. You will then be sent English and Maths assessments and a Basic Information Form to complete. The assessments must take at least 30 minutes and you need to achieve a Level 1 or above to be put forward for the position. You will also be asked to complete a Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours assessment (KSB) to recognise any prior learning related to the qualification.
