Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Night Shift Mechanical Inspector to join our Quality Assurance team on a 6-month fixed term contract. Working independently during night operations, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of machined components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
* Working on nights assuring the quality of internally and externally manufactured metallic components to the required standards.
* Carry out inspection and verification activities using advanced metrology equipment and software.
* Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Production Control, and the Machine Shop to maintain and improve quality standards.
* Proactively participate in team and departmental meetings.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of machining processes, inspection techniques, and quality systems.
* Work professionally, responsibly, and flexibly to meet production and quality targets.
* Undertake any additional tasks reasonably requested in line with the role.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Excellent working knowledge of machining processes and manufacturing methods.
* Proficient in Pc-DMIS and PolyWorks Metrology Suites.
* Hands-on experience with CMMs, Absolute Arms, Shadowgraphs, Contour Tracers, and handheld measuring tools.
* Ability to confidently interpret and work from technical drawings.
* Experience using MRP/ERP systems such as IFS, SAP, or similar.
* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
* Previous experience in a Formula One or high-level motorsport environment is highly desirable.
* Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining accuracy and composure.
* Flexible approach to working hours to meet the demands of the role.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments.
