This is a permanent, full-time opportunity within a project-driven environment where no two days are the same. Your new role As Buyer, you will play a key part in supporting the successful delivery of design-to-order projects. You will work closely with internal teams to plan upcoming procurement needs, source materials in line with detailed specifications, and ensure goods are delivered on time, to the required quality standards, and within agreed budgets. You will be responsible for raising purchase orders, maintaining accurate supplier documentation, and managing daily communication with the operations team to flag potential delays or supply chain issues. You will monitor order progress, update any cost or scope changes, and keep project stakeholders informed. A key aspect of the role involves evaluating supplier performance, nurturing strong supplier relationships, and resolving any discrepancies around pricing, quality, delivery, or invoices. Alongside this, you will provide cost analysis, identify opportunities for savings, and support the estimating and commercial teams with pricing queries and tender requirements.
