Overview
One Stop - Customer Service Assistant role at One Stop Stores Ltd. We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will be in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance. You will continually look for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback. You will help keep the store a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* Know and serve customers with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
* Encourage customers to provide feedback by completing the “have your say” survey.
* Work across all areas of the store (online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines) to meet customer needs.
* Apply training to work safely and effectively.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about store performance and collaborate to deliver profit.
* Live company values, be welcoming and follow policies.
* Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep colleagues and customers safe.
* Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy and organized shop, keeping aisles clear.
* May be responsible for running the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader or Store Manager.
* Follow all training to keep the team and store safe and compliant.
* If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include day-to-day Post Office operations and you must pass a Post Office financial and criminal conviction background check; if checks fail, the job offer may be withdrawn.
