Are you an Trainee Sonographer who is looking for a new challenge near the beautiful Gower coastline? If so we would like to hear from you!

This post will be based at Neath Port Talbot Hospital which hosts the Minor Injury Unit and will become the Health Board's center of excellence for elective orthopedic and spinal surgery.

Our service offers Sonographers the experience of a wide variety of Ultrasound scanning,

You would be working within a dynamic, enthusiastic team of Sonographers and alongside a team of supportive radiologists.

A structured induction program will be provided for the successful applicant. The health board is committed to the development of radiographers employed within the service.

A good work life balance is important to us at Swansea Bay UHB however, the opportunity to work additional overtime hours is a possibility.

The radiology teams across all our hospital sites are very welcoming to new staff and you would be able to participate in a range of social activities outside the work environment such as paddle boarding and running clubs.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Bristol University of West England Entry requirements:

1. a good honours degree (normally minimum 2.2) in a Healthcare or Science related subject
2. access to an appropriate clinical work placement in the UK of at least two days (15 hours) a week in each clinical specialism order to fulfil the practical requirements of this course.
3. an appropriately qualified individual who will act as clinical appraiser (supervisor and assessor) who will need to attend a training day.

4. HCPC Registration and Post Grad Diploma in Medical Ultrasound / DMU (CoR)
5. Ultrasound post graduate qualification accredited by Consortium for the Accreditation of Sonographic Education

6. FMF Nuchal Accreditation

7. Significant post-qualification experience
8. Adhere to and can demonstrate SBU Values and Behaviours
9. Relevant personal history of continual development
