Your role will be to ensure that the company fulfils its obligations with regard to food safety in line with legal standards and those set out by our accreditation bodies.
* Provide technical support and cover to the Technical Compliance Assistant.
* Liaising with customers in regard to the completion of customer questionnaires, and specifications and providing product-specific information.
* Accurate documentation and record keeping for third-party audits, BRCGS, QMS, HACCP, TACCP, VACCP.
* Support the technical team and managers to drive a positive food safety and people-first culture.
* To support all food safety procedures across the estate to ensure that they align to all legal requirements, meet our regulatory bodies’ standards and are developed to support Arthur David as required.
* Support Arthur David policy and procedures are aligned to the latest best practice and/or legislative requirements and developments.
* Create, develop and maintain policies and procedures to support and deliver appropriate food hygiene standards, ensuring all records are accurate and maintained, in support of audits, for all departments (eg: Cleaning records, temperature checks, glass audits etc.)
* Communicate changes that have been made regarding food hygiene policies and procedures to operational staff.
* Support the specifications are in place for all products supplier to and bought by the company to our customers ensuring that new products are included and reviewed before they are stocked.
* Support the review, maintain and update the company approved suppliers list. This includes suppliers of produce, services and packaging.
* Support and complete internal audits to schedule.
* Monitor pest control activity and action monthly reports raised by their inspections.

Schedule:
* Day Shift generally however some night shift coverage will be required to meet the needs of the business.
* Monday-Friday (Generally)
Education, Skills and Work Experience Requirements:
* Experience of working in a technical or quality role within the food industry
* Experience managing technical policy and procedures upholding our legislative requirements.
* HACCP and Food Hygiene level 3 or above and the ability to train employees.
* TACCP/VACCP knowledge and the ability to train employees.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines either independently or as part of a team.
* Full driving licence (Travel between Bishop Sutton and Hallatrow)
* Internal auditing or lead auditing qualifications
