GSL Education is seeking a dynamic and proactive Primary Teaching Assistant to work in schools in Ashington.
Job Summary:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to students in KS1 and KS2. Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
2. Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
3. Support students with their learning, ensuring they understand and complete tasks.
4. Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
5. Supervise students during break times and on school trips.
6. Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
Requirements:
1. Experience working as a Primary Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
2. A strong understanding of the primary school curriculum.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
5. A proactive and flexible approach to work.
6. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
