We are seeking someone with very high expectations who loves working with young people and is ambitious to see them achieve. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of JCQ requirements, experience in running exams and leading an in-house invigilation team. Key Duties: Organisation of any internal and external examinations including invigilation and rooming. Registering pupils onto GCSE, BTEC & Vocational courses. Submitting accurate examination entries for all external exams to awarding bodies in advance of deadlines. Organising SEN provision for pupils during exams by liaising with the SEN team and applying to awarding bodies for special arrangements for such candidates. Organising exam materials, providing safe custody of and organising examination stationery and materials, including question papers, in accordance with regulations. Producing a whole school examination timetable including dates, times, venues, number of candidates and invigilation requirements. Maintaining accurate records of all examinations, including seating plans, registers, invigilators log and incidents log. Dealing with cases of malpractice in both controlled assessment & examinations in line with JCQ regulations. Being present and available in school on the days when results are notified and overseeing the distribution of results to candidates. Processing all examination results and processing all remarks, re-moderation of coursework & script requests as well analysing outcomes of remarks with co-ordinators. Providing statistics on examination entries and results for the Head teacher, SLT & Heads of Department/Co-ordinators & Governors. Overseeing the checking and distribution of certificates. Support SLT to provide the collating analysis of examination data and progress grades. Further details of specific duties are listed within the attached Recruitment Booklet The ideal candidate will have: Experience of the operation of Examinations in schools. English and Maths at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent. ICT skills with experience of using Microsoft Office and databases and a willingness to tackle complex word processing tasks. Experience of working in a school office. Experience of operating computerised and manual systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and confidently face-to-face, on the telephone and in writing. A Strong work ethic, a willingness to work proactively, under pressure and to adjust working arrangements to meet day to day service demands. Excellent interpersonal skills, drive, energy and vision. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Job specifics Start date: asap Salary: AS 19-23 FTE £32,371-£34,743 pro rata £29,532-£31,696 term-time plus 2 wks Job role: Permanent, Full Time, term-time plus 2 weeks, 37 hrs pr wk, Mon-Thu 8am to 4pm Fri 8am to 3:30pm with 30 mins for lunch The Trust reserves the right to interview and appoint a suitable candidate before the deadline date.
