About the Role:
As the Director of Learning - Computer Science & IT, you will:
- Lead and inspire a dedicated team of Computer Science and IT educators.
- Develop and implement a forward-thinking curriculum that integrates emerging technologies and prepares students for the digital future.
- Drive excellence in teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and academic rigor within the department.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental objectives with the school's strategic vision.
- Oversee the integration of AI and other cutting-edge technologies into the curriculum.
- Manage departmental resources effectively to support high-quality education.
Candidate Requirements - The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree-level qualification in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in leading a Computer Science or IT department, with a track record of raising standards and improving student outcomes.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for digital education.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
