Mission description
In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England. The purpose of this role is to effectively manage a logistics team on a daily basis Act as a focal point and assume responsibility for supply chain related issues as well as ensuring adherence to all HSE requirements and procedures Encourage and participate in continuous improvement activities in the function Key Responsibilities will include: Be the lead, mentor and developer within the team. Ensure proactive management of workload per shift, per work stream to meet KPI's. Driving duties if required to support all aims. Lead problem solving initiatives through implementation. Build on current 5S standards and develop through tiers. To ensure continuous improvement activities are conducted, reviewed and evaluated in area of responsibility with the team. Liaise with the Logistics Manager in the coordination with 3rd party transport and packaging providers based on business requirements to ensure timely fulfilment of customer needs Accurately plan daily tasks to ensure sufficient resource allocation to meet internal and external customer demand. Implement best practice and maintain the highest house-keeping standard. Maintain a safe environment for yourself and colleagues in accordance with the Company's Health & Safety Policy On site delegate when the Logistics Manager is not available. Undertake other duties and tasks as may be reasonably requested by your manager from time to time.
Candidate skills: Working knowledge in key warehouse processes. Previous experience of team leadership & people related activities Exposure and / or experience in the development of teams Experience of operating material movement and data gathering within an ERP database Confident communicator with ability to communicate both verbally and written to own team and leadership Root Cause Analysis Valid UK Driving License No candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
