The Caretaker will maintain the highest levels of cleanliness at our schemes will be responsible for the cleaning of all communal areas in the buildings and to act in a neighbourly and friendly fashion to tenants of the scheme and their visitors. You will have previous experience working within a similar role. This role will be based in Belfast schemes, where you may be asked to provide cover at neighbouring schemes.We strongly believe in our social purpose and by joining our growing organisation you will support us to provide homes for people to live well. Responsibilities
* Take responsibility and pride in the cleaning of the scheme including dusting and polishing fixtures and fittings, cleaning of all communal areas of the scheme.
* Waste bins to be emptied regularly and all bins should be put out ready for collection on a weekly basis. These bins should also be brought back in after immediately after collection.
* Environmental management by monitoring and potential risks that they come across and reporting any maintenance issue within the scheme.
* Carry out weekly fire alarm test and record details in logbook.
* Familiarise yourself with the company’s policies and procedures which you will be provided with at the start of your employment and duringyour induction period and induction training.
Skills and Qualifications
* At least 6 months previous experience working in a similar role as Caretaker/Domestic Assistant in a paid or voluntary working environment.
* Able to travel to meet the requirements of the post.
* Knowledge of COSHH
