As a Shift Engineer working for the Data Centre Solutions team, your duties may include:
Responsibilities:
* Operate and maintain site electrical systems according to codes of practice and industry guidelines.
* Ensure PPMs for built equipment are maintained and performed on time.
* Carry out daily maintenance and reactive repairs on electrical equipment and assets.
* Provide feedback to computer-based systems, especially the PPM system.
* Identify, rectify faults, and escalate issues related to HVAC systems.
* Install and modify site electrical services.
* Communicate effectively with the Shift Supervisor regarding plant status, issues, and housekeeping standards.
* Order parts accurately and report engineering difficulties.
* Maintain cleanliness in plant areas, workshops, stores, and rest areas.
* Operate and troubleshoot electrical installations, emergency lighting, BMS, fire systems, HVAC, generators, motors, UPS systems, and HV systems.
Skills:
* Experience in the building services industry.
* C&G qualified 1 and 2 or equivalent in electrical services/maintenance.
* 18th Edition IEE Wiring & Installation competent.
* HV Approved Person (not essential).
* Confined Space entry trained (where required).
* Recognized training or apprenticeship.
* Strong communication skills and technical competence in building services, especially UPS, generators, and HVAC.
* Proactive, reliable, and conscientious with a commitment to high standards.
* Willingness to attend training and possibly stay overnight for installations.
* High integrity, honesty, punctuality, and customer focus.
