Green Orbit – Part‑Time Product Developer (Equity Based)
Green Orbit is a Welsh AI and sustainability startup developing SmartFitIQ, an AI‑enabled platform that improves workforce fit, onboarding and PPE management. The role focuses on advancing the operational SaaS portion of the platform.
Current Development Scope
Responsibilities include building:
* Employee onboarding workflows
* Audit trail and timestamp history
* Dashboard and operational visibility
* PPE / uniform replacement logging
* Supplier and allocation management
* Notification and reminder systems
* General SaaS workflow refinement
Ideal Background & Qualifications
We are particularly interested in:
* USW MSc / PhD students
* Strong final‑year software students
* SaaS builders and startup‑minded developers
Mandatory Skillset
* React or Next.js
* JavaScript / TypeScript
* API integration
* Database experience (PostgreSQL or Supabase)
* Git / version control
* SaaS workflow or dashboard development
Beneficial Experience
* Python / FastAPI
* AI or machine‑learning exposure
* Mobile‑responsive UI development
* Authentication and user management systems
* Public‑sector workflow systems
* Startup or founder‑led projects
Equity & Commitment
Part‑time, equity‑based role with an initial 12‑month commitment of 10–20 hours per week. Intended to transition to a salaried position once funding allows.
* Approximately 1%–3% vested equity depending on experience, contribution and ongoing involvement
* Milestone and time‑based vesting structure
* All IP to remain with Green Orbit Ltd
Academic & Grant‑Funded Collaboration
Collaborate with academic and innovation partners on grant‑funded projects, including prototype development, technical planning, and R&D activities.
