The Warrington Domestic Abuse Hub has an exciting opportunity to recruit for an outreach worker. The role will enable us to enhance and increase our community based offer across Warrington supporting more victims at the earliest point.
The role
The post holder will work closely with an existing outreach worker and DA Hub colleagues to deliver a high-quality service to victims of domestic abuse and their children, supporting them to live in a safe environment, and aiding their recovery after abuse. The role will involve delivering group work and drop ins across the borough and working 1 evening per week during the rollout of group work.
The key duties of the role will include:
¦ Delivering 1:1 face to face support and managing a caseload
¦ Assessing and reviewing risk levels, providing safety advice, establishing and reviewing safety plans.
¦ Supporting the duty rota in making first contact/follow up calls to victims within a targeted timeframe.
¦Planning and delivering group programmes and adapting content to meet varied abilities and learning needs.
¦ Delivering a wide range of support to victims living in our dispersed accommodation provision and sanctuary adapted accommodation.
¦ Advocating for victims, ensuring their voices are represented at meetings.
What's needed?
¦ The successful candidate will be, knowledgeable, a team player, practice professional curiosity and;
¦ Experienced in providing practical and emotional support, advice to victims/vulnerable groups and advice and guidance to professionals.
¦ Have strong assessment skills and able to communicate effectively.
¦ Able to prioritise own workload and manage time effectively.
¦ Have strong emotional resilience and able to work in a high paced environment
¦ Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
¦ Demonstrate a commitment to reflective practice.
¦ A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is necessary for the role.
