About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a CIVILS ESTIMATOR to join an expanding Contractor as they extend their presence in the Scottish Construction Industry. Applications are encouraged from individuals who have a Civil Engineering qualification and have demonstrable experience as a Site Engineer prior to transitioning into an Estimating role.
Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for a range of civil engineering works.
* Review and interpret tender documentation, specifications, and drawings.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and technical input.
* Produce Bills of Quantities and take‑offs from drawings.
* Identify and assess risks associated with project tenders.
* Support bid submissions and presentations to clients.
* Work closely with operational and commercial teams to ensure tender proposals are achievable and competitive.
Candidate Requirements
* Experienced as an Estimator in civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction.
* Good understanding of civil engineering methods, materials, and rates.
* Proficient in the use of estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Confident communicator who can work to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
* Keen to grow within an ambitious business.
