In this field-based role, you’ll report to the Account Manager or Supervisor, conducting technical surveys, generating compliance reports, and supporting on-site operations. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring our clients remain compliant with ACoP L8, HSG274, and wider water safety regulations. We are currently recruiting across multiple regions, but you may be asked to work at other locations within the UK depending on business needs. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for practical, enthusiastic individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for compliance. If you have experience in water hygiene or compliance, are confident producing reports and system schematics, and want to build your technical skills—we’d love to hear from you. You’ll be a great fit if you are: Technically Proficient – You understand water systems, can interpret regulations, and work confidently with ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidance. Detail-Oriented – You produce clear, accurate reports and water system schematics, and audit monitoring regimes effectively. Organised & Analytical – You manage your time effectively, prioritise tasks, and resolve issues with confidence. Key Responsibilities Conduct legionella risk assessments and technical surveys on client sites across various sectors, including local authority buildings, housing, schools, and leisure centres. Generate accurate reports, site information, and water system schematics. Support Account Managers and Supervisors with on-site supervision and audits of site logbooks, records, and water monitoring regimes. Perform site evaluations, identifying areas of non-compliance and proposing clear, practical actions. Maintain close and professional customer relationships on all assigned contracts. Ensure all assessments and documentation comply with HSE guidance, internal standards, and industry best practice. Travel to and work from multiple site locations, as required. Person Specification Experience Minimum 1 year of experience in water hygiene or compliance. Familiarity with ACoP L8, HSG274, and British Standards. Qualifications City & Guilds or equivalent in Legionella Risk Assessing or Water Hygiene preferred. Skills & Knowledge Strong understanding of water treatment processes, health & safety protocols, and compliance standards. Skilled in compiling reports, conducting water system surveys, and producing clear schematics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—able to liaise effectively with clients, site managers, and colleagues. Strong ICT skills and report writing ability.
