Our client is a leading distributor of Laboratory Equipment across the UK. They are looking to hire a Sales Account Manager to be based at their HQ in York!

This is a full time permanent position based in York, working 37.5 hours a week across Mon-Fri with the opportunity to work from home 1 day a week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and develop relationships with existing customers across your territory.
* Handle inbound sales enquiries and follow up on new business opportunities.
* Prepare accurate quotes and ensure timely responses to client requests.
* Maintain detailed and up-to-date records using our CRM system.
* Complete and submit tenders.
* Work collaboratively with the team to achieve company sales targets.
* Manage a high volume of email communication efficiently.
Experience:
* Proven track record of sales success, with the ability to identify opportunities and apply strong commercial awareness to close sales.
* Knowledge of laboratory equipment, a background in life sciences or previous scientific sales experience would be an advantage but is not essential. (All sales related experience will be considered).
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage and prioritise own workload.
* A customer-focused approach with the ability to provide consultative sales support.
* A proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for contributing to a growing, team-oriented business.
