Secondary Supply Teaching Assistant (SEN Experience) | April 2026 Start Location: Bristol Contract: Full-Time Supply (Monday-Friday) Hours: 8:15am - 3:15pm Salary: £88.92 - £133.68 per day (DOE) Are you supportive, resilient, and passionate about helping young people with additional needs thrive in school? We are looking for committed Secondary Supply Teaching Assistants with SEN experience to work across a range of Bristol secondary schools. Whether you already have school-based experience, come from a care or youth work background, or are exploring a future career in education, we'd love to hear from you. This role offers the chance to make a genuine impact while gaining valuable experience across different school settings. As a Supply SEN TA, you'll work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to support students who benefit from structured guidance, emotional support, and tailored learning strategies. Many placements often develop into long-term opportunities, providing a strong pathway into SEN support roles or teacher training. As part of the support team, you'll play a vital role in promoting confidence, independence, and positive learning experiences. About the Role As a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with KS3 and KS4 students who may have a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, learning difficulties, or communication challenges. Your role may involve 1:1 support, small-group work, or assisting within the wider classroom to help ensure all pupils can access the curriculum effectively.
