Skills and Competencies • 10 years’ experience in direct business-to-business sales roles, preferably serving financial services and/or (Re)insurance clients. • Deep understanding of the (Re)insurance industry and interest in capital markets, data, and software. • Solid grasp of global financial services industry dynamics and customer business drivers. • Ability to present both high-level information and detailed product/service demonstrations. • Proven consultative selling skills and ability to lead complex sales cycles to successful conclusion. • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills. • Ability to interact with senior executives internally and externally. • Strong independent and team working skills, with high attention to detail. Education Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) in economics, finance, or related area preferred. Responsibilities This role is responsible for working with other sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders to drive the sales process for a set of complex products and services for Insurance companies. Key activities include identifying and qualifying prospects, initiating new sales activity and managing full sales cycle. Additionally, the role requires the assessment of client needs and providing clients with specific strategic guidance and product overviews. • Build and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed annual goals aligned with company vision and objectives. • Work with sales colleagues and internal stakeholders to drive the sales process from prospecting to closure. • Lead business development within assigned territories for Insurance companies; partner with Solution Specialists for proposals and client demos. • Act as point of contact for risk, finance, actuarial, and investment functions at clients. • Market and help develop solutions for the Insurance sector. • Expand Moody’s footprint in the wider Insurance industry, including consultants, regulators, and industry bodies. • Collaborate with Product Management and Product Strategy to improve product quality and develop new revenue sources. • Build and maintain strong client relationships by identifying gaps and recommending solutions leveraging market and technical knowledge. • Provide insightful, client-specific customer service and product overviews and act as market expert and provide product/service use cases during the sales cycle • Assess client needs by understanding their business requirements and specific issues. • Identify additional products and services beneficial to clients and introduce them appropriately • Serve as liaison between client service, client, and implementation services for each opportunity. • Coordinate Moody’s Analytics responses to product/service information requests from prospects and clients. • Represent Moody’s at industry and company-sponsored events as required. • Serve as functional and market expert to resolve client issues; assist in preparing and circulating market insight internally and externally. • Provide current forecasts and pipeline information to management. • This position offers a dynamic work environment, requiring up to 50% travel to engage with clients face-to-face, while also providing the flexibility of hybrid working.
