Please note: This role is full-time, 44 hours per week, working nights from 8pm to 8am on a seven-day rota.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
Your responsibilities include planning and implementing care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will build relationships with residents and their families, ensuring personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll maintain high standards of care and positively influence your team.
You will assist with daily activities such as helping residents with mobility, end-of-life care, and communicating with families. You will also support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication. Maintaining accurate records and fostering strong team relationships are key aspects of your role.
We are committed to inclusivity, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds. We aim for a quick onboarding process once you accept a job offer.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and be willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification or equivalent. Experience in person-centered care planning and knowledge of dementia care are desirable. However, your positive energy, ability to get along with people, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management are essential. You should communicate considerately and kindly at all times.
At HC One, kindness means caring about what matters most to residents to support their best possible life. Our team embodies five key qualities: curiosity, compassion, creativity, courage, and inclusivity. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility; you must recognize signs of abuse or neglect and know how to respond appropriately. Training in safeguarding and related areas will be provided.
