Role Overview
We are currently recruiting a part time Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our Out-Patient Team, to support the preparation and effective running of our clinics and procedure room. You will be trained to undertake skills including Venepuncture, blood pressure monitoring, urine testing, bladder scanning and will use these skills daily as well as undertaking training to work in enhanced procedure area, working as support for registered practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the preparation and effective running of our clinics and procedure room.
* Perform venepuncture, blood pressure monitoring, urine testing, bladder scanning and other routine testing as part of daily patient care.
* Undergo training to work in enhanced procedure areas and provide support for registered practitioners.
* Communicate effectively with a wide range of people and keep patients updated with relevant information.
* Maintain cleanliness standards and assist with manual handling of patients & equipment.
* Stand and walk for lengthy periods of time during patient duties.
Working Hours & Shift Requirements
Start times of shifts will be variable, from 07.30 am onwards. The team works 6 days a week, including evenings up to 8pm. The ability to work flexible and variable shifts is essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must be confident in communicating with a wide range of people, particularly in keeping patients updated with information. Part‑time availability is required.
