Position type: Full‑time, permanent
Hours: 37.5
Pay range: £13.76 per hour
Breaks: 2 × 30 minutes
Shift pattern: Monday – Friday, 08:00‑17:00
Responsibilities
 * Operate a reach truck to retrieve pallets from racking and transport them to the designated production area, ensuring all movements are accurately recorded using a handheld scanner.
 * Utilise computer systems to monitor production progress and ensure inventory is correctly positioned for efficient operations.
 * Safely store pallets in the racking system, scanning each one to verify proper placement.
 * Maintain a clean and organised work environment by following a "clean as you go" policy, keeping both the warehouse and equipment in optimal condition.
 * Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to support warehouse operations.
 * Assist in stock control by promptly reporting any discrepancies to a senior staff member upon discovery.
Qualifications
 * Previous experience in warehouse operations (essential)
 * Reach truck license (essential)
 * Counterbalance license (essential)
 * Strong understanding of stock management principles
 * Knowledge of GMP compliance, regulatory standards, housekeeping and health & safety protocols
 * Willingness to work shifts as required
 * Ability to perform effectively under pressure
 * Strong written and verbal communication skills
 * Proficient in administrative and clerical tasks, basic PC literacy, and use of computer systems for generating pick lists (training provided)
 * Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to following procedures accurately
 * Experience operating a PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) is preferred – training will be provided if necessary
 * Solid understanding of workplace health and safety regulations
