This Sunderland SEN setting is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can build trust, create consistency, and help pupils feel safe enough to learn. What you’ll be doing Supporting pupils with EHCPs, ensuring strategies are followed and adapted where needed Working 1:1 and in small groups with children with autism and additional needs Helping regulate behaviour through calm, consistent support Collaborating with teachers and therapists to deliver joined-up support Teamwork here looks like… Daily check-ins, shared ideas, and everyone pulling in the same direction. You’re never left to figure things out on your own. Who is this role for Someone patient, calm and naturally supportive Experience with SEN or a strong interest in this area Someone who values routine, consistency and teamwork You’ll be the person that makes a child’s day feel manageable, and that’s everything.
