Teaching Personnel are currently working with a dedicated and vibrant specialist SEN primary school in Winsford, seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. Pupils have a range of complex needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant seeking a new and exciting challenge or an individual with a background in SEN looking for experience within the classroom.
Your Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Work closely with class teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support to individual pupils and small groups.
* Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all learners.
* Support pupils’ personal, emotional and social development alongside academic learning.
* Assist with the implementation of EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
* Encourage independence and life skills through creative and practical learning approaches.
We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting).
* A calm, patient and flexible approach.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.
