Senior Key Account Manager

Foodservice | UK & Ireland | Home Based


Our client is a highly successful, family-owned food manufacturer with an outstanding reputation across the foodservice sector. Now in its second generation of ownership, the business has built a strong platform for long-term, sustainable growth, with no plans for private equity involvement or sale.


With excellent manufacturing capabilities, a strong innovation pipeline, and the ability to deliver across multiple pack formats, they are a trusted supply partner to major foodservice operators.


As part of their continued UK expansion, they are now looking to appoint a commercially driven Senior Key Account Manager to lead growth across major foodservice accounts.


The Role

Reporting directly to the Sales Director this is a high-profile commercial role focused on developing strategic relationships across large foodservice chains.


The position will combine both key account management and new business development, targeting:

* QSR groups
* Pub chains
* Hotel groups
* Contract caterers


This role will not manage wholesale accounts, as these sit within a separate commercial team.

The successful candidate will be home based and encouraged to spend as much time as possible in front of customers. Regular travel across the UK and Ireland will be required.


Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute strategic growth plans across major foodservice operators
* Identify and win new business opportunities within targeted chain accounts
* Build long-term customer relationships at multiple stakeholder levels
* Manage commercial negotiations and customer development plans
* Work closely with NPD and operational teams to deliver tailored customer solutions
* Drive profitable growth across existing and new accounts
* Maintain strong market awareness across foodservice trends and competitor activity


Candidate Profile

* Proven experience managing and developing large foodservice accounts
* Strong track record of winning new business within foodservice
* Experience working with QSR, hospitality, catering, or chain-led customers
* Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
* Hunter mentality with the ability to open doors and build pipelines
* Self-motivated and comfortable operating in a home-based, customer-facing role
* Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and Ireland


Package

* Salary: £65,000 – £75,000
* 15% bonus
* Company car
* 5% matched pension
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
