🚀 What you'll do
* Design innovative, secure, and cost-effective technical solutions that solve real business challenges across multiple technologies.
* Align your designs with national, regional, and local architectural principles and security standards.
* Collaborate with technical suppliers, internal experts, and architects from other organizations to deliver new enterprise products and services.
* Lead the appraisal of new technologies and drive innovation within the organization.
* Mentor and coach team members, sharing best practices and fostering a collaborative environment.
* Manage project budgets and contribute to strategic business and digital objectives.
* Build strong relationships across IT and business areas, ensuring solutions are transitioned smoothly into business as usual.
* Influence policy, set technical standards, and help shape the future of IT for Nottinghamshire Police.
* Experience in complex environments, designing and delivering enterprise solutions.
* Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with server/storage/network architectures, APIs, DBMS, and security principles.
* Knowledge of private and public cloud (Azure, M365, AWS), and Microsoft technologies (Exchange, SCCM, Azure, etc.).
* Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Collaborative, proactive, and able to drive change in a fast-paced environment.
* Degree in computing (or related subject) or five years’ relevant experience. TOGAF, ITIL, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
