Job reference: WWT-WLLOFF Reports to: Adult Wellbeing Manager Hours: 22.5 hours per week (with occasional weekend or evening work) Based at: Elm Tree Court, Devizes, with extensive work in Swindon Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is a leading conservation charity in the UK and has an excellent reputation for delivering nature-based wellbeing programmes, supporting people to improve their mental health through meaningful engagement with the natural environment. This work is central to our community engagement and wellbeing offer and continues to grow across the county. Accordingly, we are looking for an inspiring, committed and experienced Wellbeing Project Officer to support the delivery of our Swindon Community Wellbeing Programme. Working as part of the Wellbeing Team, the post holder will play a key role in delivering group-based nature-based wellbeing activities for adults experiencing mental health challenges and social isolation. Activities take place across a range of settings including local parks, green spaces, community locations and nature reserves. You will support participants to build confidence, develop a connection with nature and take steps towards longer-term engagement in community activities, volunteering and local green spaces. Experience of working with adults with mental health challenges or similar support needs is essential, as is the ability to facilitate inclusive group activities and build positive, supportive relationships. An understanding of person-centred approaches and the role of nature in supporting wellbeing will be important. This post is funded through The National Lottery Community Fund.
