Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. You will assist with daily living activities, shopping duties and appointments, implement care plans, and promote a positive environment for our clients. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals are essential. This role is working on an independent basis.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Support individuals with mobility and physical activities
* Help implement and monitor care plans tailored to each client's needs
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the healthcare team
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other staff members to ensure quality care
* Drive clients to appointments or activities as required
* Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients at all times
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential
* Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately
* Proficiency in English for effective communication with clients and colleagues
* A valid driving licence is essential for driving between clients and transporting them when necessary
