Responsibilities
At Asda there is nothing more important than the health and wellbeing of our customers. The priority is to deliver high quality patient care. A typical day includes screening patients, coaching and training the wider team whilst helping to maintain standards in the department. Asda provides training and a CPD programme, with protected time for further accreditations funded by Asda.
Support is available from in-store, regional and home office teams for both clinical and service-related queries.

Tuesday - Saturday, 09:00 – 18:00
About You
At Asda it’s about service and creating a memorable experience for customers. You will use clinical skills and passion to help achieve this. Working with an Optical Manager (a qualified Dispensing Optician), you will help create an environment that combines clinical and operational excellence, coaching and developing new patient services.
You'll Be
* A fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
* A registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
* MECs or WECs accreditation (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda – funded and supported by us)
* On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
* Able to use your skills and passion to deliver a memorable customer experience
* Passionate about developing new patient services and shaping the department’s culture
