About the role
Our Financial Services Technology Data and Resilience (TDR) team helps FS firms navigate a fast-moving regulatory landscape while managing complex data and technology environments. We shape data strategies and uplift data maturity through enhanced data management practices, combining sector insight with leading technology to solve client challenges.
The essentials
Drawing on your experience in insurance or banking sectors, you will enable clients to modernize and future-proof their data capabilities by designing strategic operating models and deploying suitable tools and platforms. Your background in the industry or consulting will help you navigate complex data challenges, including regulatory scrutiny, evolving customer expectations, and legacy systems. Your understanding of the data governance ecosystem within insurance or banking—shaped by global regulatory demands, operations, and legacy systems—will facilitate strategic and technological transformations to enhance data governance.
You will utilize your knowledge of regulatory drivers such as Solvency II, IFRS 17, and BCBS239, along with data management frameworks like DAMA and DCAM, to help clients craft sustainable data strategies with effective governance, improving their data maturity, governance, and reporting practices through innovative means.
Key Responsibilities:
* Data Strategy Development: Assist in developing enterprise-wide data strategies and operating models that embed sustainable data management and AI practices, aligned with regulatory and operational requirements.
* Data Governance Support: Help clients improve data quality, lineage, and controls, addressing regulatory gaps, strengthening oversight, and enhancing reporting confidence.
* AI and Automation Integration: Leverage AI and automation to enhance data management scalability and performance, including data discovery, quality monitoring, and policy enforcement.
* Value Addition for Clients: Provide insights and solutions to improve data governance and management, helping clients achieve greater effectiveness and innovation.
* Promotion of Data Governance Culture: Support a culture that integrates people, processes, and technology to reduce risks and foster insights and innovation.
* Engagement and Collaboration: Support team efforts, meet client requirements, and ensure alignment with client goals.
* Team Development and Delivery: Contribute to project delivery and support team growth using AI and technological tools.
* Communication Skills Development: Develop strong communication skills to convey policies and strategies effectively.
* Participation in Change and Risk Projects: Support business change and risk projects, managing client programs and overcoming technical challenges.
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain client relationships, identify new opportunities, and foster long-term partnerships.
Preferred Skills
* Experience within Financial Services
* Experience in consulting
* Knowledge of insurance markets and regulations (e.g., Solvency II, IFRS 17, PRA) or banking regulations (e.g., BCBS 239)
* Experience in transformation programs focusing on data maturity and regulatory remediation
* Practical knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools
* Understanding of AI/ML adoption and governance in insurance or banking
* Exposure to cloud data environments and modern data architectures
