What is the job role?
Coventry City Council’s Children’s Services Horizon Child Exploitation Team are seeking to recruit a dynamic, experienced and highly skilled Social Worker. The role is to deliver an outstanding service to children who are at risk of exploitation and their families.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments regarding the support that a child and their family may require.
* Work in a busy, multi‑agency environment focused on providing good quality advice and guidance in relation to child exploitation.
* Ensure children and families receive appropriate support.
Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Coventry City Council by 2x.
This is a fixed‑term role for 12 months. Interview week commencing 24th November 2025. All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role. The post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and as such, appointment will be conditional upon satisfactory police record check via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?
You will believe in providing a high‑quality service that ensures the child is at the heart of everything we do. You will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work in a solution‑focused and trauma‑informed way with children who are being exploited.
You will be a good team player who is passionate about identifying appropriate interventions for children and their families.
