We’re supporting a leading Japanese bank in the search for an Analytics Governance Manager to join their expanding EMEA Data & Analytics function. This is a newly created role with a broad remit and high visibility across the organisation.
Interested in this role You can find all the relevant information in the description below.
The role forms part of a dual-focus team driving analytics excellence across EMEA – combining tooling, talent development and governance to improve how analytics is delivered, maintained and used throughout the business. It also leads the establishment of a formal Analytics Governance Framework, expanding on the existing Data Governance capability.
This is a greenfield opportunity to shape how the organisation defines, controls and improves its Key Data Outputs (KDOs) – including metrics, KPIs, dashboards, models and reports – used in regulatory reporting, decision-making and business operations across all functions and regions.
Key responsibilities:
* Design and implement an Analytics Governance Framework across EMEA, aligned with existing data governance standards
* Lead the identification, classification and oversight of KDOs across the business
* Support critical regulatory initiatives, including compliance with BCBS239 and preparation for ECB onboarding
* Engage with stakeholders across risk, finance, compliance, front office and back office to embed governance principles
* Ensure consistency, quality and transparency of analytics outputs used in regulatory, operational and strategic decision-making
* Promote best practice in the development and maintenance of analytics products
What we’re looking for:
* Experience building or applying governance frameworks for analytics – not just data
* Strong understanding of analytics products and the end-to-end lifecycle from design to reporting
* Exposure to BCBS239 principles and experience of aligning governance to regulatory standards
* Proven experience in a financial services or banking environment
* Stakeholder engagement skills across technical and business functions
* Familiarity with tools such as Collibra, Tableau, PowerBI or Alteryx
We’re open to individuals from either a data governance background who understand analytics or those from analytics roles with experience in governance. What matters most is your ability to articulate what good looks like and help shape a framework from the ground up.
Interview process:
* First round interviews will take place within the next two weeks
* Final interviews will follow after 23 June
* Final stage will include HR
If you’re ready to shape analytics governance across a complex, international banking group, we’d love to hear from you.
