Our Team:Our branding and trade marks team is prominent in the UK, noted as a 'leading firm' in the Legal .The branding and trade marks team is a core part of the wider IP team and is made up of experts in the management and strategy of IP, including trade mark portfolio management both nationally and internationally (the latter through a trusted network of agents abroad).Accountabilities:Provision of administration and case management support for our trade mark attorneysChecking and managing the Team's central email inbox for official communications and entering deadlinesPreparing and filing trade mark applicationsPreparation, checking, and proofreading communications, forms, and other documents for general and specific case/ client requirements, ensuring all deadlines are metActing as liaison between Birketts and overseas lawyers to provide instructions and progress work mattersManaging queries from clients relating to IP, using support from other parts of the team and firm as appropriateThe Candidate:At least 2 years or more of trade mark paralegal experience, ideally CITMA qualified and educated to degree levelA keen interest in intellectual property and delivering great client serviceAbility to work independently, manage their own workload, prioritise and work to deadlinesExcellent organisational and interpersonal skillsGood standards of written and spoken English with strong attention to detailCompetence with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and ability to pick up and work with other IT systems as required, with full support being provided by the firm Benefits:At Birketts, our culture is driven by ambition and a commitment to positively impact all the communities we serve.
