Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting our long standing client with the appointment of an Instrument Technician on a permanent day shift basis.
This role would suit a time-served technician who has completed a recognised apprenticeship and has gained hands-on experience maintaining and fault-finding process instrumentation in a live production setting.
You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable operation of instrumentation and control systems that are critical to plant performance, safety and compliance. Job Description

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on site instrumentation and control equipment
*
Fault find, diagnose and repair instrumentation issues to minimise downtime
*
Calibrate, test and commission field instruments including pressure, flow, level and temperature devices
*
Maintain and troubleshoot control loops and associated systems
*
Read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics and datasheets
*
Support shutdowns, breakdowns and plant improvement projects
*
Work closely with electrical, mechanical and operations teams to resolve plant issues
Skills Required
*
Completed a recognised Instrumentation / Electrical & Instrumentation apprenticeship
*
2–4 years’ experience working in an industrial or heavy process environment
*
Strong hands-on fault-finding and maintenance background
