Critical Care Outreach Sister/Charge Nurse (XR07)
Anexciting opportunity has arisen to join the Critical Care Outreach Team as aSenior Sister / Charge Nurse. The post holder will be experienced in thefield of Critical Care, experience working as part of the Critical CareOutreach Team is desirable.
Thesuccessful candidate will be allocated to take charge of shifts, where theywill coordinate the safe running of the team and workload. This includescross site working, lone working and providing ongoing support and leadershipto junior Critical Care Outreach team members.
Thesuccessful candidate will provide advanced clinical assessment of thedeteriorating adult patient in a variety of clinical areas throughout theTrust, deliver education to ward-based teams on the recognition andmanagement of the deteriorating adult patient and support the Deputy Matronand Deteriorating Patient Lead to implement Trust wide quality improvementinitiatives.
Main duties of the job
Therole provides extensive clinical advice, education and support to ward basedmulti-disciplinary teams across a variety of clinical areas throughout thetrust.
Thepost holder will work as an accountable, autonomous practitioner to providecomprehensive advanced assessment and care of the deteriorating/acutely illadult patient leading to early intervention and treatment.
Thepost holder will work in partnership with the Allied Healthcare ProfessionalsTeam to initiate appropriate care to prevent further physiologicaldeterioration, identifying and referring those patients who require admissionto critical care.
Thepost holder will act as a clinical role model, promoting qualityevidence-based practice. Multi-disciplinary team liaison, education andtraining in the care and management of the deteriorating/acutely ill adultwill be key responsibilities.
