The West Yorkshire Police’s Finance Department in Wakefield is seeking a dedicated, organized, and proactive individual to join as a Purchasing Officer. The role involves managing requisitions, orders, and invoices to ensure procurement of goods and services is cost-effective and compliant with financial regulations.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing advice and assistance to force personnel to source goods and services efficiently using approved suppliers and contracts.
* Reviewing and challenging procurement requests to align with budget expectations.
* Using Force issue Purchase Cards for procurement and maintaining documentation for VAT/HMRC purposes.
* Supporting customers and suppliers regarding expenditure and resolving order queries.
