Job Overview

Job Title: Exams Officer

Actual Salary: £1,659 - £1,835 Depending on hours and weeks worked.

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £35,852 - £39,649 (CLF Grade E) Based on 37 hours per week, all year round.

Hours of work: 0.2 per week Start: TBC


Responsibilities

* Lead an exam process, supporting an academy and team during busy exam periods. Ensure the organisation and delivery of internal and external examinations within an Academy, and in accordance with local and national guidance.
* Support all students throughout the examination process, ensuring accuracy and data compliance at all times.
* Flexibility is required as there are various exams held throughout the academic year, usually falling within November, January and March.
* The Summer exams are held in May and June.
* There are also mock exams for Years 9, 10 and 11 at different times throughout the year.


Qualifications & Personal Attributes

You will have:

* Practical experience of understanding and following processes and procedure.
* Excellent interpersonal, good organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to keep calm under pressure or during unexpected circumstances.
* A caring and understanding attitude, sensitive and responsive to the needs of our students.
* Capability to work as part of a team but also under own initiative.

About Snowdon Village Academy

Snowdon Village is a multi‑site, cross‑phase alternative provision that sits within the heart of the CLF. The Snowdon Village sites include The Nest, Engage, Bristol Futures Academy and City School.

Our primary aim is to meet the needs of children and young adults who have social, emotional and mental health issues by offering a suite of alternatives to mainstream school.

Members of Snowdon Village may engage with the provision in a variety of ways, from long‑term residential care to short‑term, part‑time alternatives which complement their existing school experience.
