Job Description Legal Advisor – OIC Portal (Hybrid, up to £26K) Location: Wakefield (Hybrid – 1 day in office, 4 days WFH) Salary: Up to £26,000 (DOE) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Legal Advisor to join our RTA OIC Portal team. You will manage a high-volume caseload of Official Injury Claim (OIC) Portal cases, ensuring efficient progression and achieving the best outcomes for clients. This is a hybrid role with only 1 day in the office and 4 days working from home, offering flexibility while working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Handle RTA OIC Portal claims from inception through to settlement or court proceedings. Assess liability and quantum, review medical reports, and research case law to support claims. Draft schedules of special damages and evaluate compensation for pain, suffering, and loss of amenity. Negotiate settlements with third parties to maximize client compensation. Identify litigation opportunities and navigate the Small Claims Litigation Process when necessary. Use a case management system to maintain client communication and provide high-quality service. Meet performance targets in a high-volume claims environment. What We’re Looking For: ✔ Experience handling RTA Portal and non-Portal claims. ✔ Strong liability assessment and negotiation skills. ✔ Ability to work in a target-driven legal environment while maintaining high client care standards. ✔ Proficiency in case management systems, Word, and Excel. ✔ Excellent organizational and communication skills. Desirable Skills: ➕ Working towards a Chartered Legal Executive qualification or other legal accreditation. ➕ Litigation experience is beneficial but not essential. ➕ A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a commitment to career development in personal injury law.
