Overview
The expanding Coventry Community Neuro and Stroke Rehab Services (CINSS) are looking for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join their interdisciplinary team. The role is part‑time, 30 hours per week.
The service is a community‑based, interdisciplinary therapy team that supports the timely discharge of patients from hospital. These patients have ongoing rehabilitation or neuro‑management needs following a new or worsening neurological condition (stroke or non‑stroke). The team works collaboratively with acute services, rehab and community networks, and third‑sector services to deliver a patient‑centred, goal‑focused approach to rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
Work independently and effectively within the Community Stroke and Integrated Neuro Rehab Service to ensure safe and effective management of patients in the community. Prioritise workload and time to support an integrated approach. Collaborate with acute services, rehab and community networks, and third‑sector services to deliver patient‑centred, goal‑focused rehabilitation. Provide evidence‑based care and contribute to quality improvement projects and service developments.
Qualifications & Skills
* Band 6 Occupational Therapist with neuro experience, or Band 5 with a wide range of experience, able to demonstrate transferable skills into this clinical area.
* Evidence of post‑graduate experience and sound clinical reasoning.
* Commitment to high standards of care and patient‑centred practice.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Car driver licence and ability to use vehicle for work essential.
