JOB TITLE: Automation Test Engineer - Security Data Service
SALARY: £46000 - £53,616
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds and Halifax
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

This is a great opportunity that would suit a Security Data Service Engineer or an experienced software developer that is looking to transition into Cyber Security.
You'll work with a broader team of security experts to design and implement solutions that combat cyber security threats.
Key Accountabilities;
Analyse user requirements.
Design and write code to automatically test future enhancements, refining and rewriting as necessary.
Maintaining the automation strategy and automation framework that others use, as well as training and best practice for others in the programme.
Use Confluence and JIRA to document designs and update development progress.
Lead deployments through the Route-to-Live environment.
Solve, debug, and upgrade existing solutions.
Ability to interact & contribute to the big-picture, (vision led team focus), as well as drive specific task-oriented actions & tasks.

We define and communicate the Group's security strategy and provide dedicated support and constructive challenge to business areas to ensure the delivery of an effective and compliant security risk management framework.
What you’ll need
Quality Engineering/Quality Assurance background, with a proven ability in Test Automation
Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, (knowledge of other languages such as JS/NodeJS, HTML, SQL, Groovy Scripting would also be useful)
Experience in maintaining automation frameworks, with an eye to the future to ensure they are kept up to date and relevant
Understanding of cloud environments and the accompanying infrastructure; Preferably, Google Cloud Platform, (Kubernetes, KMS, Anthos, Helm etc.)
Exposure to Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, Spinnaker, AquaSec, GIThub, GIT, all utilized within CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to write Cypher queries.
Experience in Data Modelling.
And any experience of these would be really useful
Experience of Network infrastructure, (IP addressing, subnet, DNS, VPN protocols) and concepts, (such as TCP/IP, DNS and SSL).
Interacting with and building REST/Graph QL API’s.
Experience with Neo4J Graph Databases.
Knowledge of SIEM/SOAR applications
Experience in JIRA administration and add-ons
Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems.
