Overview
Our client is a growing HR consultancy providing practical, hands-on HR support to SMEs across a range of sectors. They work closely with business owners and line managers, offering trusted advice across the full employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
* HR Consultancy Support: Keeping up to date with employment legislation and advising clients on required updates to HR policies and procedures
* HR Consultancy Support: Supporting clients with disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance management matters, escalating complex cases where appropriate
* HR Consultancy Support: Advising on sickness absence management, including both informal and formal processes
* HR Consultancy Support: Managing recruitment activity for client vacancies, including advertising, shortlisting, first-stage interviews and interview coordination
* HR Consultancy Support: Advising on new starter processes including offers, contracts, right to work checks, probation and onboarding
* HR Consultancy Support: Supporting leaver processes, including dismissals, appeals and exit interviews
* HR Consultancy Support: Advising on employee lifecycle matters such as maternity, paternity and flexible working requests
* HR Consultancy Support: Delivering line manager training on core HR topics such as disciplinary & grievance handling and mental health awareness
* Business Development & Profile Building: Writing topical HR content for social media and marketing activity
* Business Development & Profile Building: Supporting new business wins, onboarding new clients and maintaining accurate records
* Business Development & Profile Building: Attending networking events to promote HR services
* Business Development & Profile Building: Working with marketing colleagues to support events and awareness sessions
* Business Development & Profile Building: Assisting the Senior HR Consultant with HR awareness workshops and presentations
About You
* Solid experience in a generalist, advisory HR role (in-house or consultancy)
* Confident handling day-to-day employee relations matters with clients
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
* Comfortable managing multiple clients and priorities
* Professional, credible and confident when dealing directly with business owners and managers
* CIPD qualified (or working towards) is desirable
What’s On Offer
* Salary c. £40,000 FTE* (£26.66k if working 25 hrs/wk)
* 20-25 hrs/wk (ideally across 4 days but flexible on this)
* Hybrid working 2 days/wk in Trowbridge office
