Assistant Manager & Personal Trainer (Part-Time) – Private Gym Reports to: Gym Manager / Owner Hours: Part-time Flexible ([e.g. 16–24 hours per week) Role Summary We’re looking for a part-time Assistant Manager & Personal Trainer to support the day-to-day running of a private gym and deliver high-quality coaching to our members. This role is a mix of Business and Operations with hands-on PT on the gym floor. Key Responsibilities Assistant Manager Duties Support the Gym Manager with day-to-day operations standards on the gym floor Ensure the gym is clean, safe and well-presented at all times (equipment checks, cleanliness, lighting, music, atmosphere). Handle member queries, issues and feedback professionally and promptly. Assist with class bookings and timetables, helping to drive attendance. Support membership sales and retention – club tours, sign-ups and basic follow-up with lapsed or at-risk members. Help with marketing activities: open days, member events, basic social media content and partnerships with local businesses. Ensure health & safety procedures are followed, including incident reporting and equipment checks. Personal Training & Coaching Deliver 1:1 and small group personal training sessions, tailored to member goals.
