Position Overview: We are seeking a talented, dedicated, and professional Chef de Partie to join our Culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes while maintaining the exceptional culinary standards expected at The Wellesley Knightsbridge. The Chef de Partie will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations and a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Duties:
Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your designated kitchen section to the highest standards
Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines
Maintain consistency and quality of dishes served to guests
Handle guest dietary requirements, allergies, and special requests with care and attention
Ensure your section is clean, organised, and fully stocked for service
Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service
Monitor food stock levels, assist with stock rotation, and help minimise food waste through effective portion control
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations at all times
Assist with the setup, preparation, and closing procedures of the kitchen section
Collaborate with colleagues across the kitchen to maintain efficient service and a positive team environment
Uphold the high culinary and brand standards of The Wellesley Knightsbridge at all times
Experience: Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi Chef de Partie in a busy hospitality environment, preferably within 4 or 5 hotels or fine dining restaurants**
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and presentation standards
Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Passion for food, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous culinary development
